Description

Story:
When I was processing my data of LMC,
it suddenly occurred to me that I took SMC in 2022 and 2023, and I have not processed yet!

So here comes my work on SMC, the twin sister of LMC. 2 years of raw data taken with Pleiades Astro Team using Taka-e180ED and 6200MMPro in Chile, from July & August of 2022 and 2023.

Process
Stars in the Raw data is undersampling @500mm focal length and 3.76um of pixel size, while performing a drizzle X2 for subs taken with a full frame sensor such as 6200MMP is heavy job. It costed me about 1.5 TB for WBPP, and took few hours on cali, alignment and drizzle integration for Lum channel alone.  The drizzled master Lum looks pretty good on resolution & sampling, and the field curved can also be corrected perfectly by BlurXTerminator with AI4.

Drizzle are not processed for RGB and Ha channels, they are registered to the Drizzle Master Lum.  The master lum after drizzle and DyCrop has a crazy resolution at 19200x12200, and thus each process I took was a time killer, let alone AI based process such as SXT\BXT. So most of time I was just sitting in front of my laptop watching Tv soups and turn to PI only when my hard-disk stops roaring.

BTW PS always becomes no response or crushed when I try to open my tiff file in Photoshop at that crazy resolution. I guess it has exceeded the maximum pixels capacity of either PS or my RAM. I am still trying to find a way show you guys the drizzled one,may publish them with heavy crop later.

So I BIN2 my drizzled pic and process them in PS @9200*6100 res. That' s why you may find the result is still undersampling.

Special thanks to:  Grapeot, who kindly shared his briliant method of adding stretched Ha data to LRGB using Photoshop. He has uploaded tutorial on YouTube and Bilibili.

Any C&C are welcome, we hope that you can enjoy this image!
